Election polling and counting committees set up

His Excellency Nawaf bin Mohammed Al-Maawda, the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Waqf, who also chairs the High Committee for Election Integrity, has issued Resolution No. 67 of 2024.
This resolution outlines the creation and assignment of general polling and counting committees for an election to fill a vacant seat in the Council of Representatives.
The committees have been established for the first electoral constituency of Muharraq Governorate, with their locations listed in an accompanying table.
Should any committee presidents or members be unavailable, their replacements will be chosen from those named in Table No. 2 of Resolution No.
66 of 2024, which pertains to sub-committee arrangements for the same election.
The resolution details the committees’ duties, which include overseeing the polling and counting processes according to Decree-Law No. 14 of 2002 on Political Rights.
The Chairman of the Election Supervisory Committee will announce the results, including the vote count for each candidate, after all records and electoral papers have been submitted by the various committees.
Results A copy of the results, along with all records and papers, will be sent to the High Committee for the final announcement and notification of the elected member.
Regarding the specific formation and location designation for the general polling and counting committees: The first committee, located at Bahrain International Airport, is led by President Mohammed Khalid Al-Hazzaa, with Haya Habib Mustafa as secretary, and Salah Ahmed as a member.
The second committee, situated at Seef Mall, is chaired by Moza Al-Na’ar, with Mohammed Khalifa Al-Benjassem as secretary, and Mohammed Al Mahmoud as a member.
