Salman City is gearing up for a wave of new service projects aimed at catering to its residents. Basim Abu Idris, a member of the North Area Municipal Council, revealed that these efforts have been under the close watch of the Cabinet, with the Municipal Council actively following up with the Ministry of Housing and the Eskan Bank over the past two years.

Abu Idris outlined that Eskan Bank's plans will roll out in two stages. The first stage to start by the end of October next year, with the second stage coming in late 2025.

The first phase includes the construction of 10 commercial shops on Road 8307 in Block 583, behind AlZahraa Mosque, and another 5 shops in Block 580, centrally located on Salman City's coast, featuring a seaside view with an X-shaped layout.

By late 2025, a public market will be in the works. This market is planned to offer 1600 square metres of rental space, including seaside-view restaurants, 8 commercial shops, 19 stalls for vegetables and fish, a green area in the centre, comprehensive central air conditioning, and ample parking spaces and facilities.

Also by late 2025, he confirmed, a large supermarket covering 2500 square metres will open, part of a total area of 6500 square metres, located on Avenue 92 in Block 583, next to the model kindergarten.

Mohammed Al Doseri, representing the third district of the North Area Council, mentioned that coordination with the Ministry of Housing and the Eskan Bank is ongoing to expedite the construction of commercial shops in Block 581 on Island 14. The necessary locations for these shops have been identified and allocated.

Al Doseri noted that these projects will include a variety of commercial shops, such as restaurants, grocery stores, barber shops, and laundry shops. These shops will be designed with a modern twist, allowing customers to drive through to place orders, aiming to reduce traffic congestion and noise in the residential area.
