HM King Hamad and HRH Prince Salman hailed over Bahrain’s Olympic gold in Paris

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, received a flood of congratulations from senior government officials following Bahrain’s gold medal win by Winfred Yavi in the women’s 3,000m steeplechase at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
HM the King and HRH Prince Salman received cables of congratulations from the First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
HH Shaikh Khalid and HH Shaikh Khalid emphasised that this achievement is a result of His Majesty and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s unwavering support of the Kingdom’s sports sector.
The other congratulations came from Council of Representatives Speaker Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Shura Council Chairman Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Minister of Finance and National Economy, HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Interior, His Excellency General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Faisal bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Vice-President of the Supreme Council for Environment, Deputy Chairman of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) High Committee and Member of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Special Representative of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, General Sports Authority (GSA) Vice President His Highness Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Advisor to HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, and His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Abdullah. They also extended their congratulations to HH Shaikh Nasser and HH Shaikh Khalid.
The victory, they emphasised, is a significant achievement for the Kingdom, reflecting HM King Hamad’s unwavering support for the sports sector, which drives success in sports at various levels, and highlighting HRH Prince Salman’s commitment to motivating athletes, contributing to Bahrain’s prominence in regional and international sporting events.
