HM King Hamad Praises Bahraini Olympians’ Achievements

In a meeting today at Sakhir Palace, HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa commended Bahrain's recent achievements in international sports, particularly at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Welcoming HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Majesty expressed his deep satisfaction with the performance of Bahraini athletes, noting the pride they bring to the Kingdom.
Their efforts, he observed, have been instrumental in boosting Bahrain’s standing on the global stage. His Majesty encouraged them to keep up their pursuit of excellence in their respective fields.
The discussion also touched on the contributions of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport, alongside HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport and Chairman of the General Sports Authority and the Bahrain Olympic Committee.
His Majesty acknowledged their leadership, which has played a key role in building up unity and advancing Bahrain’s sporting ambitions.
Beyond the realm of sports, the meeting expanded to cover broader national concerns, particularly the Kingdom’s ongoing journey towards progress and development. His Majesty and the Crown Prince discussed the importance of continuing these efforts to benefit the kingdom and its people.
The meeting was also attended by HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King’s Personal Representative, HE Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court, and HE Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.
In conclusion, His Majesty highlighted the importance of initiatives aimed at elevating Arab sports on the world stage, commending all efforts that contribute to Bahrain’s success in various sporting events. He concluded with a prayer for the Kingdom's continued growth and prosperity, expressing hope that Bahrain’s achievements across all sectors would endure and flourish.
