His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, has affirmed that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa has devoted great attention to the youth, preparing them to shape the future.
This approach is supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who has implemented national policies and strategic plans to empower young people, develop their skills, and prepare them for future responsibilities, as outlined in the government’s work programme.
In a statement on International Youth Day, which this year is themed “Digital Pathways to a Sustainable Future,” HH Shaikh Nasser remarked, “We believe the future of the Kingdom lies with our youth.
Bahrain has consistently worked to instil hope in young Bahrainis by empowering them, developing their creative skills, and enhancing their abilities.
Supporting youth development, listening to their ideas, and encouraging their growth are the best investment.”
He added, “International Youth Day is a prime occasion to deepen our understanding of Bahraini youth and their essential role in upholding the Kingdom’s reputation.
It reinforces their awareness of their responsibilities and their role in offering bold visions and practical solutions.
The Kingdom has provided numerous opportunities for the youth, who should seize these chances to advance towards the future.”
Skills
HH Shaikh Nasser said, “We recognise the crucial role of youth in driving the Kingdom’s progress and achieving its goals.
It is vital to work together in the spirit of Team Bahrain to guide the youth and help them transition effectively to a more sustainable world, equipping them with skills relevant to global developments and digitisation.”
He also praised Bahraini youth for their efforts across various sectors, stating, “Bahraini youth are key stakeholders in the Kingdom’s progress.
We appreciate their contributions and their ongoing efforts to advance their country. We are confident in their capacity to take responsibility and drive forward the Kingdom’s prosperity and development.”
