Ten Construction Companies Bid to Build Commercial Facilities in Salman City

Ten construction and contracting companies have submitted bids to build commercial facilities on five plots of land in Salman City, according to data released by the Tender Board on Monday.
The tender, launched by the Housing Bank, saw bids ranging from a low of 2,275,000 Bahraini dinars submitted by Jahecon Company, to a high of 3,980,000 dinars submitted by Saleh Abdullah Kameshki & Sons.
The Housing Bank confirmed that the development of the five plots in Salman City will include the construction of commercial facilities such as waterfront restaurants, a fitness centre, service shops, and a supermarket. The total area of the land is approximately 14,000 square meters, with a total construction area of 5,000 square meters.
The bank emphasised that the tender is open only to contractors who were pre-qualified before or on the day of the tender announcement.
They must hold a Grade A or higher qualification from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for building houses, or a Grade C or higher qualification from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for building residential buildings, or a Grade A or higher qualification from the Ministry of Works for building projects.
Contractors must also have built projects with a construction area of at least 5,000 square meters within the past five years; otherwise, they will be disqualified from the tender.
