Bahraini-Indian relations are based on a long history of joint trade cooperation, which has witnessed growth and prosperity over the past years, reflecting the keenness of the leaderships of the two friendly countries to expand the horizons of bridges of trade, economic, investment and cultural cooperation.

The MP further said the Kingdom of Bahrain and India enjoy strong relations spanning decades, founded on a solid foundation of trade, economic and cultural cooperation.

This strategic partnership is constantly witnessing further development and expansion in light of the shared keenness of the leaderships of the two countries to enhance prospects for cooperation in various fields. On the commercial and economic level, the MP stressed that Bahrain has been the main gateway for India to the Arabian Gulf region throughout a long history.

The Bahraini pearl trade was linked to the Indian spice trade, and this traditional commercial interaction formed a solid foundation for the development of contemporary economic relations,” noting that these relations are currently witnessing growing prosperity, with the diversity of investment opportunities and economic growth in the two countries.

India has become one of the most important trade and investment partners of the Kingdom of Bahrain, and vice versa, with a shared focus on developing vital sectors such as energy, infrastructure and tourism.

Cooperation between India and Bahrain is not limited to economic and commercial aspects, the MP said, pointing out that there is close coordination and coordination between Bahrain and India at the parliamentary and international levels, which enhances mutual understanding and convergent visions on issues of common international interest, such as climate change and renewable energy.

The presence of the large Indian community in Bahrain deepens the social and cultural ties between the two friendly countries, and that this cultural and social interaction has had a positive impact on enhancing mutual understanding and respect between the peoples of the two countries.
