Bahrain Chamber pushes for enhanced trade with Rwanda, Bosnia, and Ecuador

Sameer Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, underscored the critical need to bolster trade and investment cooperation between Bahrain and three key nations: Rwanda, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ecuador.
The emphasis was on expanding collaboration in areas such as food security, the medical and communications sectors, energy, and industry. Nass’s comments came during a meeting yesterday at his office.
The meeting was attended by John Mirenge, Ambassador of Rwanda to Bahrain; Bojan Jokić, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Bahrain; and Denys Toscano Amores, Ambassador of Ecuador based in Cairo.
In his address, Nass expressed the Bahrain Chamber’s commitment to enhancing bilateral trade with these countries. He emphasized the importance of increasing trade volume, facilitating economic delegation exchanges, and addressing logistical challenges to unlock promising investment opportunities.
Khalid Najibi, First Vice Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber, echoed Nass’s sentiments, welcoming the prospect of intensified cooperation with these friendly nations.
Najibi highlighted the need to invigorate trade and investment across various economic sectors. Ambassador Mirenge of Rwanda reaffirmed his country’s dedication to strengthening bilateral ties and advancing joint cooperation for mutual benefit. Similarly, Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Ambassador Jokić expressed enthusiasm for deepening business relations with Bahrain.
He commended the Chamber for its role in fostering business connections and highlighted Bahraini investments in Bosnia’s real estate sector, urging further exploration of opportunities. Ecuador’s Ambassador Toscano Amores stressed the significance of reciprocal visits in enhancing trade relations.
He encouraged Bahrain’s business community to explore opportunities in Ecuador’s tourism and food security sectors. The meeting also featured the presence of Khalid Najibi, First Vice Chairman; Mohammed Al Kooheji, Second Vice Chairman; and Board Members Yusuf Salahuddin, Abdulwahab Al Hawaj, and Yaqoob Al Awadhi.
