The Tender Board opened bids for four tenders from ministries and government bodies on Thursday.
First up, the Ministry of Information requested proposals for the supply of transmitters and receivers to broadcast events, news, and sports across Bahrain. The goal is to ensure smooth live online broadcasts, which has become the preferred method recently. Qvest Media FZ LLC came in with the lowest bid at BHD 57,200, while First Gulf Company topped the list with the highest bid, including conditions, at BHD 109,527.150.
Next, the Ministry of Works sought bids for preventive maintenance at the Material Engineering Directorate in Juffair. This includes services for electro-mechanical systems, plumbing, drainage, and air conditioning. AlMoayyed Air Conditioning submitted the lowest bid at BHD 62,487.521, while Yateem Airconditioning placed the highest at BHD 100,361.701.
Elsewhere, the Bahrain Tourism & Exhibition Authority (BTEA) is looking for a general cleaning and maintenance team for the Qalali Waterfront Project’s commercial area and beaches. There were five bids, with the lowest from Basma Marble and Granite at BHD 14,190.000, and the highest from Mohammed Ahmadi Co at a staggering BHD 1,296,900.000.
Lastly, Bapco Refining called for scaffolding services across various sites, attracting ten bids. The job involves assembling, dismantling, and certifying scaffolding for safe access. Projects Access Scaffolding & Formwork led with a bid of BHD 4,498,139.500, while Almoayyed Scaffolding Company submitted the highest at BHD 10,952,939.250.
Each proposal, naturally, will be examined on technical as well as financial aspects, so the lowest bid may not necessarily secure the contract.
