Candidate Disputes Candidacies of Two Rivals' in Muharraq By-Election

One of the eight candidates contesting the recently vacated seat in the First Constituency of Muharraq formally challenged the candidacies of two rivals today, claiming they do not reside in the constituency. He submitted his dispute to the Supervisory Committee overseeing the by-elections just 15 minutes before the centre closed on the final day for complaints.
Dr Ali Al Shuwaikh, Chairman of the Committee, stated that the committee will now review the challenge, scrutinising all details and documents provided.
The period for lodging complaints closed at 9 PM today, concluding the three-day window for objections and grievances regarding the voter lists.
