Bahrain Welcomes International Efforts to Aid Sudan Amidst Ongoing Crisis

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain has expressed its strong support for the international community's efforts at the Geneva Conference to address the worsening humanitarian situation in Sudan. The ongoing conflict in Sudan has severely impacted the living conditions of its people, prompting urgent international intervention.

In a statement issued on Friday evening, Bahrain welcomed the decision by Sudan's Transitional Sovereignty Council to open the Adri border crossing, allowing the delivery of much-needed humanitarian aid. This move is seen as a critical step in alleviating the suffering of those affected by the conflict.

Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also called on all parties involved in the conflict to ensure the safety of relief workers and to facilitate the unhindered distribution of humanitarian assistance across the affected regions. The Kingdom reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Sudan's sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity, emphasizing its desire for peace and stability in the region.
