In the upcoming parliamentary session, the Council of Representatives will discuss the reports of two investigative committees - the "Bahrainization" committee and the committee on employment contracts. Both committees have completed their reports and will project them during the next parliamentary session, presenting their findings and recommendations in order to open the floor for MPs to discuss them.

The Bahrainization committee's focus areas include reviewing the procedures adopted by the Civil Service Bureau and the Ministry of Labour regarding the process of replacing expatriates with citizens, identifying the existing positions in the public and private sectors occupied by expatriates, as well as understanding the current steps and timelines in the Bahrainization process.

The committee also aimed to determine the actual needs of the labour market and guide secondary school graduates on the specialisations required by the job market, as well as coordinate with various government entities to identify job requirements and publish them in all media outlets. The committee conducted field visits to observe the Bahrainization procedures in the public and private sectors.

Meanwhile, the employment contracts committee, on the other hand, studied the procedures followed by the Civil Service Bureau, ministries, agencies, government companies, and the Tender Board regarding the procurement of manpower and the contracts for administrative, technical, and logistical services.

The committee discussed the proper implementation of employment requirements, including the approved qualifications and Bahrainization ratios, in the companies that have been awarded such contracts.

Furthermore, the committee reviewed the need for government entities to issue tenders for administrative, technical, and logistical services, as well as examine the requirements of manpower supply contracts and ensure the suppliers' compliance with the employment of Bahraini citizens in the required positions.

The committee also audited the financial allocations for the procurement of manpower and the provision of administrative, technical, and logistical services, and verified the availability of the necessary budgetary provisions for these contracts.
