French Embassy lauds Bahrain’s ‘exceptional and historic’ Olympic

The French Embassy in Bahrain has praised the Kingdom’s “exceptional and historic” performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics, highlighting its commitment to youth development and sports advancement.

In a statement, the embassy commended Bahrain’s athletes for their “dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship,” stating that their achievements are a source of pride not only for their nation but also for those who followed their journey globally.

The embassy further emphasised that Bahrain’s accomplishments on the Olympic stage are a testament to its commitment to sporting excellence.

“Each medal won, record broken, and achievement attained embodies the ambition and passion that fuels Bahrain’s national spirit,” the embassy pointed out.

The statement expressed gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Bahrain Olympic Committee leadership, relevant Bahraini authorities, coaches, support teams, and all who contributed to this success.

Achievement

The embassy highlighted that Bahrain’s achievement of topping the Arab region in medal count, mirroring France’s European dominance, sends a clear message: like France, Bahrain is fully committed to empowering its youth and advancing sports.

The statement concluded by expressing heartfelt congratulations to Bahrain for its exceptional Olympic achievements and unwavering commitment.

The embassy also wished Bahrain continued success in future competitions, starting with the Paralympic Games, which commence on August 28th.
