MP Hassan Ebrahim praised the new system introduced by the Survey and Land Registration Bureau (SLRB), which uses artificial intelligence to identify changes and building violations.

He regarded this as an important step forward in overseeing the construction sector and as a crucial element in the kingdom’s digital transformation efforts.

He pointed out that this system will improve transparency and efficiency in managing construction projects, ensuring that legal standards are observed and breaches are kept in check.

This also paves the way for using similar technology in other areas to better serve the public and refine government operations.

Hassan remarked that the AI-driven system reflects an ongoing effort to advance system development and embrace new technologies.

Its introduction will allow various ministries to roll out similar initiatives, placing Bahrain in a leading position to adapt to global changes.

He also noted that AI can be applied across different sectors, including education, health, government bodies, the private sector, and banking.

This technology, he argued, will enhance the effectiveness of government services by cutting down on time and effort.

Hassan further stressed that the system continuously monitors construction changes, enabling early detection of violations. This will improve governance, reduce human error, and boost public confidence in services.

In conclusion, he said that this initiative aligns with Bahrain’s vision for digital transformation and modernising government services.

He highlighted the role of AI in keeping up with technological advancements and suggested that expanding its use across various sectors will contribute to Bahrain’s Vision 2030, which prioritises innovation and technology for sustainable growth.

He also emphasised the importance of introducing AI as a specialisation for secondary school graduates to build a workforce capable of managing these systems.
