HM King Hamad and Crown Prince Discuss National Progress at Sakhir Palace

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at Sakhir Palace today. The meeting was also attended by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Personal Representative of His Majesty the King; His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, Chairman of the General Sports Authority, and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee; His Excellency Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa; and His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy. Discussions centred on national matters, with a focus on the country's ongoing development across various sectors.

His Majesty affirmed that Bahraini citizens will always remain at the forefront of the Kingdom's priorities in any developmental plans and programmes. He praised the efforts of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister in creating opportunities for citizens and enhancing Bahrain’s standing regionally and internationally, in line with the aspirations of its people for further progress, prosperity, and growth. His Majesty also expressed appreciation for the work of ministers in serving the nation and its citizens in their respective roles.

His Majesty voiced pride in the unity of the Bahraini people, stressing their strong bonds of brotherhood, solidarity, and shared responsibility in building the foundations for the country's prosperity. He reaffirmed Bahrain’s guiding principles, rooted in its rich history, which include openness to all cultures, religions, and civilisations, and the encouragement of coexistence.

In this regard, His Majesty noted that the King Hamad Award for Peaceful Coexistence reflects Bahrain’s vision of promoting global peace and mutual understanding, encouraging dialogue between civilisations. His Majesty reiterated Bahrain’s drive to promoting the convergence of civilisations and cultures to achieve global peace and strengthen the shared values of humanity.
