MP Hanan Fardan has confirmed that residents of Al-Malikiya Housing will soon benefit from the approval of the long-awaited Al-Abdah Mosque for daily prayers, as well as the establishment of commercial and service shops near the historic Prince Zaid Mosque by next year.
Fardan expressed her gratitude to the Minister of Housing, H.E. Amna Al-Rumaihi, and the Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Endowments, H.E. Nawaf Al-Maawda, for their responsiveness to the demands and aspirations of Al-Malikiya’s residents.
Fardan highlighted that, following extensive communications and coordination with various relevant parties, the land for the Al-Abdah Mosque has been reclassified from residential to service land.
In her statement, Fardan emphasised the need for service ministries to take responsibility for providing essential services such as mosques, shops, parking lots, and other facilities in new residential neighborhoods within the Al-Lawzi area and villages across the western region.
She also commended the Northern Municipal Council and civil committees for their efforts in addressing these needs.
Fardan reaffirmed her ongoing commitment to monitoring this issue, along with similar concerns, in collaboration with key officials, including the Minister of Housing and Urban Planning.
She praised the Minister’s responsiveness to residents’ demands, particularly in areas featuring housing projects under her ministry’s jurisdiction.
