Shura Council’s Chairman, His Excellency Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, has noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain stands out for its exceptional humanitarian and charitable efforts, guided by the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He expressed considerable pride in the extensive support the King has provided to these causes, both within Bahrain and internationally.

On International Humanitarian Day, observed worldwide on August 19, the Chairman commended the King’s patronage and sustained support for the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, which continues to advance its humanitarian mission.

He pointed out that Bahrain has set a benchmark for compassionate care by delivering aid to disaster-stricken areas and establishing a prominent role in global humanitarian efforts. He also acknowledged the contributions of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for his active involvement and oversight of national humanitarian and charitable initiatives, which have bolstered Bahrain’s reputation, especially in medical aid and educational and social projects.

His Excellency also recognised the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, appreciating his impactful contributions and successful programmes.

The Chairman concluded by affirming that, under its astute leadership, Bahrain will persist as a leading nation in charitable and humanitarian activities, supporting affected communities, and working towards sustainable development goals.
