His Majesty King Hamad hails HRH Prince Salman’s continued efforts in creating opportunities for citizens

His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa affirmed that Bahraini citizens will continue to be the Kingdom of Bahrain’s primary focus of all developmental plans and programs.

HM the King made the statement as he received His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, at Sakhir Palace yesterday.

He commended the continued efforts of HRH Prince Salman in creating opportunities for citizens and enhancing Bahrain’s regional and international position.

These efforts align with the aspirations of the Bahraini people, driving the nation toward greater progress, prosperity, and development.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, HM King’s Personal Representative; His Highness Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), Chairman of the General Sports Authority (GSA), and President of the Bahrain Olympic Committee (BOC); Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of the Royal Court; His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa bin Hamad Al Khalifa; and Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy.

The meeting reviewed topics related to national affairs, aiming to advance the Kingdom’s developmental journey and ensure continued progress and achievements across all sectors.

HM the King also commended the efforts of the ministers in serving the Kingdom and its citizens.

He expressed pride in the unity of Bahrain’s people, emphasising the deep sense of fraternity, solidarity, and shared responsibility. HM the King reaffirmed Bahrain’s unwavering commitment to the values and principles rooted in its rich history and civilisation.

Openness

HM King Hamad highlighted the Kingdom’s commitment to openness towards all cultures, religions, and civilisations, and its ongoing promotion of coexistence and mutual respect. He emphasised that establishing the King Hamad Award for Peaceful Coexistence represents Bahrain’s vision to foster global peace and harmony among all people.

This initiative underscores the Kingdom’s commitment to advancing the inter-civilisational dialogue and promoting peaceful coexistence worldwide.

His Majesty underscored the kingdom’s continuous commitment to fostering the convergence and blending of civilisations and cultures to achieve global peace and unite humanity around common values and principles.

Women’s status

On the 23rd anniversary of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), which coincides with the Kingdom’s Silver Jubilee celebrations of His Majesty the King’s Accession, HM the King expressed pride in the contributions of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of SCW, for her role in advancing the status of women across various sectors.

HM King Hamad praised HRH Princess Sabeeka for her national contributions through her leadership of SCW and efforts in elevating the status e of women in strengthening Bahraini families and supporting their aspirations in the national development process. He congratulated HRH Princess Sabeeka, all members of SCW, and Bahraini women on this occasion.

HM the King commended the distinguished status of Bahraini women, their progress, leadership, and active roles as a key partner in the development and advancement process. HM King Hamad also highlighted the accomplishments and successes achieved by Bahraini women across all developmental fields, which have bolstered Bahrain’s position regionally and internationally.

Immediate ceasefire

Regarding regional and international developments, including the current situation in the Middle East, HM the King emphasised the necessity of an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, ensuring the protection of civilians there, and providing sufficient, safe, and sustainable humanitarian assistance.

He emphasised the importance of de-escalation and the prevention of conflict expansion in the region. HM King Hamad underscored the importance of finding a method for lasting and comprehensive peace.
