MP hails Bahrain as ‘beacon of peace and humanitarian efforts’

MP Dr. Maryam Al Dhaen highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain’s exemplary role in peace and humanitarian work as World Humanitarian Day is observed.

She emphasized that Bahrain’s achievements, both locally and internationally, are deeply rooted in Arab culture, Islamic teachings, and humanitarian values.

Al Dhaen praised the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, noting their significant contributions to enhancing Bahrain’s reputation for coexistence and humanitarianism.

The MP also commended the efforts of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, and Shaikh Ali bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Secretary-General of the Royal Humanitarian Foundation, for their work in advancing humanitarian and development initiatives.

Dr. Al Dhaen pointed out that the establishment of the King Hamad Award for Peaceful Coexistence reflects the King’s commitment to promoting global peace and dialogue among civilizations.

This award recognizes individuals and organizations making strides in fostering dialogue and coexistence, combating extremism, and preserving human rights.

She further noted that Bahrain serves as a hub for civilizations and cultures, embracing various religions and allowing freedom of worship.

This commitment to tolerance and openness has established Bahrain as a symbol of peace and a model for humanitarian efforts. Through these values, Bahrain has achieved notable success in promoting coexistence and peace worldwide.
