Three Arrested for Using Forged Credit Cards in Bahrain, Over 70,000 Dinars in Purchases

The Anti-Economic Crime Directorate of the General Directorate of Anti-corruption and Economic and Electronic Security has apprehended three individuals of Asian nationality for possessing and using forged credit cards in multiple retail stores, resulting in purchases exceeding 70,000 Bahraini dinars.

The Directorate revealed in a statement that upon receiving a report from a local bank regarding unidentified individuals using counterfeit credit cards to purchase electronic devices and valuable items, they immediately launched an investigation. Working in collaboration with the General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Evidence, they gathered information and evidence, ultimately identifying and arresting the suspects. The forged credit cards, along with the purchased electronic devices and valuables, were recovered from their possession.

The statement further stated that legal procedures are underway, and the case will be referred to the Public Prosecution.
