Bahrain airport records robust traffic and flights surge in July

Bahrain International Airport experienced robust passenger traffic and flight activity during July 2024, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications.

A total of 873,549 passengers traveled through the airport last month, with 424,517 arriving and 449,032 departing.

The number of arriving aircraft reached 4,498, while departing flights totaled 4,513. This resulted in a combined total of 9,011 aircraft movements at Bahrain International Airport in July.

Additionally, 41,391 transit flights passed through the airport.

Notable destinations saw significant passenger numbers in July. 55,743 passengers traveled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. 45,715 passengers traveled to Doha, Qatar. 27,968 passengers traveled to Mumbai, India, and 11,642 passengers traveled to Islamabad, Pakistan.

The total volume of air cargo and mail handled in July amounted to 31,804 tons. This included 12,140 tons of transit cargo, 11,870 tons of inbound cargo, and 7,794 tons of outbound cargo.

The strong performance of Bahrain International Airport in July reflects the growing popularity of the country as a regional hub for travel and trade.

This positive trend is expected to continue in the coming months, further boosting Bahrain’s economy and tourism sector.
