The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to Kuwait, Salah Ali Al Malki, has confirmed that all Bahraini citizens involved in a traffic accident in Kuwait are in stable condition and receiving treatment at the hospital.
Ambassador Al Malki explained that eight Bahraini citizens, including two men (one in his fifties) and six women (ranging in age from their twenties to fifties), were traveling in a vehicle driven by a tour operator. While en route to the Republic of Iraq, they were involved in a traffic accident that resulted in seven of them sustaining various injuries. All injured individuals were transported to Al Jahra Hospital for medical attention.
Ambassador Al Malki noted that two of the injured women sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalisation.
"One of the injured individuals has already left the hospital and continued his journey to Iraq, while the driver and four women remain hospitalised for treatment due to back injuries," he explained.
He further clarified that one of the injured women, in her fifties, may require surgery based on the doctors' assessment of her condition.
Ambassador Al Malki stressed that the embassy is closely monitoring the condition of the injured citizens.
"The Bahraini Consul at the embassy, Hassan Al Saba'a, has visited them to ensure their well-being. He has also been in contact with the doctor overseeing their medical care, Dr Khalid Al Awadhi, to confirm they are receiving the necessary care," he pointed out.
Ambassador Al Malki assured that the injured individuals will continue their treatment in Kuwait as required by their medical condition before being safely returned to Bahrain.
