The Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam hosted a memorable cultural event, "Harmony 2024," at the prestigious Hyatt Regency in the South Indian state of Kerala's Thrissur District, marking a significant occasion for literary enthusiasts. The highlight of the evening was the release of veteran journalist Soman Baby’s autobiography, Anubhavangalude Thazhvara.
The event was graced by the esteemed Goa Governor, Advocate P S Sreedharan Pillai, who served as the chief guest. Governor Pillai, along with the celebrated short story writer T Padmanabhan, officially unveiled the autobiography, which chronicles Soman Baby’s journey through decades of journalism and his reflections on life.
In attendance were notable figures such as Saji Pudukadan, Mr. Padmanabhan, Governor Sreedharan Pillai, Soman Baby, Sherley Soman, award-winning novelist Benyamin, Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam President P V Radhakrishna Pillai, and General Secretary Varghese Karackal. Their presence added prestige to the event, reflecting the deep cultural and literary ties that connect Bahrain and Kerala.
Earlier in the evening, the gathering was inaugurated by Kerala Water Resources Minister Roshi Augustine, who emphasized the importance of such events in fostering cultural unity. The program also featured speeches by Parliament member N K Premachandran and Raji Unnikrishnan, who praised Soman Baby’s contributions to journalism and his indelible mark on the literary world.
