The Bahraini Embassy in Iraq has confirmed that two Bahraini citizens injured in a car accident last Wednesday will be returning to Bahrain for continued treatment on Sunday.

Ambassador Khalid Al Mansour said that the embassy, in coordination with the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the national carrier Gulf Air, has arranged for the return of the two women. They will receive necessary medical care during the flight and upon arrival in Bahrain.

The Embassy had been closely monitoring the situation since the accident, which resulted in injuries to the two Bahraini women. Immediate arrangements were made with Gulf Air to facilitate their transportation back to Bahrain for further medical attention.

Ambassador Al Mansour confirmed that the women are currently receiving treatment at Imam Ali Hospital in Najaf. The first woman, 33 years old, sustained a pelvic fracture and requires medical care for over 45 days. The second woman, 36 years old, suffered a fractured shoulder joint and underwent emergency surgery.

He assured that both women are in stable condition and are fit to travel. "Necessary medical care will be provided during their journey to ensure their comfort and well-being. The return flight has been scheduled with Gulf Air at the earliest possible time," he said.

The Bahraini Embassy in Iraq has been actively working to ensure the safe return of the injured women, taking into account their health conditions. The embassy has also reiterated its commitment to providing assistance to Bahraini citizens during their stay in Iraq.
