A woman's attempt to reconcile her son with his ex-wife ended in a chaotic brawl, leaving the ex-wife with a permanent injury. The incident, which occurred in Bahrain, has been brought before the court and is scheduled for a hearing on September 1st.
The case involves three individuals: the ex-husband (defendant 1), his mother (defendant 2), and his ex-wife (defendant 3). According to the prosecution, the incident began when the ex-wife, feeling unwell, requested her ex-husband to bring their children to her residence. The ex-husband refused, stating he was not responsible for the children.
Later, the ex-husband's mother arrived at the ex-wife's apartment with the children. The ex-wife allowed the children and her ex-husband's mother inside but refused to let the ex-husband enter. The ex-husband's mother then attempted to force her way into the apartment, grabbing the door key from the ex-wife's hand.
During the ensuing chaos, the ex-wife's mother allegedly claimed she was being assaulted by the ex-wife. The ex-wife, in response, opened the door to show her ex-husband what was happening. However, the ex-husband then physically assaulted the ex-wife, punching her in the face.
The ex-husband's mother, in her statement, claimed that the ex-wife had assaulted her. She stated that she had gone to the apartment to try and resolve the conflict between her son and his ex-wife. She alleged that the ex-wife had locked the door and refused to give her the key, leading to a physical altercation.
The ex-wife, however, denied these claims, stating that both the ex-husband and his mother had assaulted her.
Medical reports confirmed that the ex-wife sustained permanent injuries to her front teeth and jaw, resulting in a 3% disability. The ex-husband's mother was also found to have sustained an injury to her right arm.
All three defendants have denied the charges against them. The court will now decide on the guilt or innocence of the individuals involved, based on the evidence presented.
