Parliamentary Delegation Explores Advanced Technology and Sustainability in China

A delegation from Bahrain’s Council of Representatives, led by Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Rumaihi, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Defence, and National Security Committee, along with Dr Maryam Al Dhaen, Deputy Chair of the same committee, has been on a tour of top Chinese factories, aiming to deepen ties in the industrial and technological arenas.
The delegation’s journey began at Skyworth New Energy Vehicle Group Co. Ltd., a leading player in the production of electric vehicles. Skyworth’s focus on renewable energy mirrors China’s heavy investment in clean technology.
The delegation also visited Jiangsu Benchuan Intelligent Circuit Technology Co. Ltd., where high-precision printed circuits are designed and produced for sectors such as automotive, electronics, and medicine. The visit offered a glimpse into China’s progress in electronic chip manufacturing, a critical element in today’s digital economy.
Nanjing Dingzheng Packaging Materials Co. Ltd. was another highlight of the trip, with its focus on recyclable packaging materials aligning with China's environmental goals.
Al Rumaihi remarked on China’s technological advancements, noting, “Gaining insights from China’s progress provides a valuable opportunity to advance Bahrain’s industries and enhance productivity through cutting-edge technology and clean energy.”
Dr Maryam Al Dhaen emphasised the potential for collaboration, saying, “The innovations we observed reflect a future-focused approach to sustainability. We aim to leverage this knowledge to meet Bahrain’s sustainable development goals and align with the Kingdom’s 2060 net-zero emissions strategy.”
