After days of sweltering heat and oppressive humidity throughout August, particularly last week when humidity levels soared above 90%, a much-needed respite is expected this Friday.

According to the National Meteorological Center at the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, the maximum relative humidity is predicted to drop to 70% on Friday, with a minimum of 20%. This is a significant decrease compared to Tuesday's maximum of 85% and Wednesday's 80%.

The Meteorological Department forecasts a northerly wind blowing at 25 knots during the day on Friday, contributing to a relative cooling of the atmosphere. The wind is expected to bring some dust to certain areas during the day, but will calm down to 12 knots at night.

Despite the humidity decrease, the maximum temperature is still expected to reach 43 degrees Celsius on Friday, slightly lower than yesterday's 44 degrees Celsius.

This welcome change in weather conditions will provide much-needed relief to residents who have been enduring the intense heat and humidity.
