Onam: Malayalam Actor Unni Raja to Celebrate in Bahrain with Expats from Kasaragod

Kasaragod District Pravasi Association (KDPA), a vibrant community of residents in Bahrain hailing from Kasaragod in northern Kerala in India, is set to celebrate Onam 2024 with a grand event titled 'Unnirajinu Opparam' (Along with Unni Raja).
The festivities will take place on September 20th at the BMC, with popular film star from Unni Raja, hailing from Kasaragod and known for his role in the hit TV show ‘Marimayam’, gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
The celebration will feature a traditional Onasadya feast and a variety of artistic performances by the association's members, showcasing their cultural heritage. The official poster for the event was launched recently at the K City Business Center in Manama. The poster was ceremoniously handed over to President Rajesh Kodoth, Shafi Paarakkatta, and Salim Thalangara, marking the beginning of the preparations.
The launch event saw participation from prominent members of the association, including General Secretary Rajeev Vellikoth, Treasurer Nasser T, Joint Secretary Mani Maangad, Entertainment Secretary Haris Uliyathadukka, and several others. Representing KDPA’s women’s wing, Ajitha Rajesh and Shamshad Abdul Rahman participated in the event. Manikandan Maangad extended the vote of thanks.
In addition to the Onam celebrations, the meeting also finalized plans to run a food stall named 'Nammal Kasrottukaar' at the upcoming food fair hosted by the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam’s Onam festivities titled Shraavanam 2024 to highlight the community's culinary prowess.
