The King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Coexistence (KHGC) and the Higher Committee for Human Fraternity (HCHF) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC), to launch the Leadership in Peaceful Coexistence programme.

This initiative aims to equip young individuals with the skills and knowledge needed to promote the values of respect, religious and cultural dialogue, and conflict resolution.

The programme includes training and educational courses focused on establishing values of respect and interfaith dialogue, mastering negotiation and mediation techniques for conflict resolution, and empowering youth to share their experiences with future generations.

On this occasion, Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the KHGC Board of Trustees, hailed His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa for his unwavering support for the centre’s programmes and activities.

He also emphasised Bahrain’s commitment to promoting harmony, peace, understanding and dialogue between religions and civiliations, with the support and follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Dr. Shaikh Abdulla underscored the importance of the collaboration with the HCHF, based in Abu Dhabi, in developing educational programmes, training courses and joint events.  These efforts aim to prepare young leaders who understand the importance of solidarity, peace and dialogue in addressing conflicts, and combating extremism.
