University of Bahrain to Replace Air Conditioning Systems for 1.1 Million Dinars

The University of Bahrain has been awarded a tender to replace its air conditioning systems on campus, with a total bid amount of 1,115,400 dinars. Six bids were submitted for this project, and the lowest bid was awarded to Bahrain Commercial Agencies.

In a broader context, the Bahrain Tender Board, responsible for overseeing public purchases and contracts in Bahrain, opened bids for 16 tenders from various government entities during its weekly session on Thursday. A total of 93 bids were received from local and international companies, covering a wide range of sectors, with the lowest total value of bids for these tenders amounting to approximately 9.8 million dinars.

Among other notable tenders, the Ministry of Education secured a contract for the maintenance and repair of elevators in schools and ministry offices. They received two bids, with the lowest awarded to “Jalal Schindler Lifts & Escalators W.L.L” for 90,024 dinars.

The Customs Affairs of the Ministry of Interior also received a tender for purchasing new firewall devices, with six companies submitting bids. The lowest bid was awarded to Bahrain Etisalcom at a value of 16,445 dinars.

In the Works sector, three major tenders were announced. The first involved purchasing laboratory glassware and consumables, which received six bids, with the lowest bid of 6,579 dinars awarded to Jaidev Trading & Contracting WLL. The second tender was for renting 10 vehicles, where seven bids were submitted, with the lowest awarded to Kanoo Daily Rental for 91,260 dinars. The third tender was for constructing a sewage network in the Busaiteen area, which received six bids, with the lowest amounting to 5,797,000 dinars awarded to Jalal Al Aali & Sons Co BSC (c).

BAPCO Exploration and Production won a tender for supplying stainless steel sheets, receiving eight bids, with the lowest from Jadawel Est Contracting at 86,728 dinars.

The Ministry of Works also secured a tender for preventive maintenance of cultural buildings, with four bids submitted, the lowest being 764,993 dinars from Airmech L.L.W. Company.

The Electricity and Water Authority received a tender for supplying heavy vehicle drivers and unskilled labourers, with nine bids submitted, the lowest being 637,599 dinars from Al Najma for Labour Supply. They also obtained a tender for supplying and installing a plasma mass spectrometer, with three bids, the lowest from Analytica One Trading W.L.L at 64,999 dinars.

BAPCO Refining received two tenders: the first for urgently supplying stainless steel sheets for Tank 760D, with five bids, the lowest being 39,600 dinars from Gulf Trading Development Company W.L.L. The second was for supplying a primary and secondary floating roof sealing system, with two bids, the lowest at 36,515 dinars from Nan Trading.

Additionally, the Northern Governorate Municipality won a tender for developing the Diraz Park, receiving 15 bids, with the lowest awarded to Al Zayed Construction at 21,795 dinars.

The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) also opened a tender for renewing and replacing database centre devices, with two bids received, the lowest from Bahrain Computer Systems at 583,876 dinars.

Finally, the Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture received a tender for implementing activities for the Red Palm Weevil control project, with six bids submitted, the lowest awarded to Newcastle.
