Bahrain has attracted a significant influx of foreign direct investment (FDI) in the first five months of 2024, signaling strong confidence in the Kingdom's economic environment.

According to a report by the Arab Investment and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation, FDI reached $201 million, creating 505 new jobs.

The report highlights Bahrain's proactive efforts to attract foreign investment through the development of a conducive business environment, attractive incentives, and streamlined investment procedures. The Kingdom provides advanced legal protection for investors, simplifies company registration processes, and boasts a skilled and trained workforce, the report highlighted.

Bahrain's commitment to infrastructure development and innovation further enhances its appeal as a preferred destination for international investors seeking to enter regional markets.

The report also reveals that Arab countries collectively attracted $33.7 billion in foreign investment during the first five months of 2024. This investment was distributed across various sectors, with a focus on renewable energy, technology, and infrastructure.

Meanwhile, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, and Bahrain, have been particularly successful in attracting FDI, thanks to their advanced business environments, economic reforms, and attractive investment incentives.
