A hotel security guard in Bahrain has sustained a permanent injury after being assaulted by a guest who attempted to force his way into the hotel lobby.

The incident occurred when the security guard, working at a local hotel, attempted to stop a young man from entering the lobby forcefully.

The suspect, enraged by being denied entry, punched the guard twice in the face, causing a fracture to his lower jaw.

The security guard reported the incident to the authorities, and the suspect subsequently confessed to the assault during questioning by the Public Prosecution.

A medical report confirmed the victim's injuries, including a double fracture to the lower jaw, requiring over 20 days of treatment and surgery. The injuries resulted in a permanent disability of 10%.

Security footage from the day of the incident corroborated the victim's account, clearly showing the suspect punching the guard twice in the face. The suspect admitted to being the individual in the footage.

The Public Prosecution has charged the suspect with assault causing permanent injury, despite not intending to cause such harm. The High Criminal Court has scheduled a hearing for September 9th to consider the case.
