Three individuals have been taken into custody and handed over to the public prosecution on charges of issuing counterfeit Hajj permits, as announced by the Public Prosecution on Wednesday.
This comes after the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Waqf reported that Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior had confiscated 12 bogus permits.
In response to the report, the Public Prosecution promptly initiated an investigation. Both witnesses and suspects have been interviewed, resulting in the identification of the three individuals involved in the forgery.
The inquiry is ongoing, and steps are being taken to prepare the case for court.
