The Passports Directorate has introduced a voting card for First Constituency voters in Muharraq for the upcoming parliamentary by-election. This card acts as a stand-in for the passport if voters cannot present their passport, perhaps due to loss or other issues.
Voters who do not have their passport should visit the General Directorate of Nationality, Passports, and Residency at the Security Complex in Muharraq either on election day or during re-election to obtain this card. An identity card will be required.
Passports that expire between the election and re-election days will still be valid for voting. The voting will take place on Saturday, 7 September, with a possible re-election on 14 September 2024. Polling hours are from 8 AM to 8 PM.
The General Directorate of Nationality, Passports, and Residency will be open on both days from 8 AM to 7:30 PM.
