Parking spaces, speed bumps around schools repainted

In preparation for the 2024- 2025 school year, the Ministry of Works has undertaken the repainting of 380 parking spaces and 97 speed bumps, while also maintaining 109 traffic signs.
These efforts are intended to improve road safety, particularly around schools.
The ministry is collaborating with the General Directorate of Traffic at the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Education to review safety requirements near sch ools , with recommendations to follow.
Further work includes cleaning and maintaining 39 pedestrian crossing signals, repainting 55 pedestrian crossing lines, and carrying out road maintenance in various locations.
These measures are designed to help keep students safe as they travel to and from school.
