Twenty vending machines for waste bags have been set up across Bahrain, according to Fadhel Al Oud, Chairman of the Technical Committee at the Muharraq Municipal Council.
The Ministry of Municipalities and Agriculture has installed these machines to distribute household waste bags automatically, eliminating the need for residents to visit service centres in the capital or municipalities.

These machines dispense garbage bags without the need for appointments or waiting, and are strategically located in commercial centres throughout all governorates. This setup enables residents to use the service while shopping.

“Residents can use the vending machines, located across the kingdom, by presenting a smart card and entering their electricity account number,” Al Oud explained

“The service is available every day of the week, including outside regular working hours, to enhance convenience and satisfaction with municipal services,” he added.

The twenty vending machines are situated in various locations, including Seef Mall, LuLu Mall, the Capital Municipality Office in Tubli, Sitra Mall, Country Mall on Budaiya Highway, Al Ramli Mall in Aali, Al Sater Market in Dumistan, The Atrium Mall in Saar, Reef Mall in Sadad, Central Market, the Post Office in Diyyar Muharraq, LuLu Hypermarket in Hamad Town, Al Muntazah Markets in Bukuwara in Riffa, Noor Supermarket in Zallaq, Al Enma Mall in East Riffa, Ramz Markets in A’ali and Riffa, and Muntazah Markets in Isa Town
