MP Abdul Nabi Salman Ahmed, First Deputy Speaker of the Council of Representatives, has hailed the Kingdom of Bahrain as a distinguished model in democratic governance, parliamentary experience, and holistic development.
In a statement, MP Ahmed praised His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s visionary leadership, which has been pivotal in establishing a modern state rooted in democratic principles and the rule of law. This approach has significantly enhanced citizens’ rights and their active involvement in decision-making processes.
On the occasion of International Day of Democracy, observed annually on September 15, MP Ahmed emphasised the importance of reinforcing democratic values and justice within the Kingdom. He underscored that the International Day of Democracy serves as a crucial moment to reaffirm commitment to democratic principles, emphasising popular participation, adherence to the rule of law, and respect for human rights. MP Ahmed also commended the Council of Representatives for fostering democratic life through its legislative.
