Masked man’s vicious assault leaves Bahraini mother with lifelong scars

A Bahraini woman in her thirties experienced a horrific incident that forever changed her life and that of her two daughters, aged 9 and 11, while they were at a popular shopping mall.

Just moments after exiting the mall and before reaching her car, the mother was ambushed by a masked assailant who awaited their departure to commit his crime.

According to lawyer Kameel Al Alawi, who is representing the victim, the mother was preparing to leave the mall when her daughters, who had gone ahead to the vehicle, encountered a strange, masked man standing next to the car.

Feeling frightened and suspicious, the girls quickly alerted their mother about the presence of the masked man. Danger Unaware of the imminent danger, the mother rushed to protect her daughters.

Upon reaching the car, she confronted the assailant, who was wielding a bottle containing a hazardous chemical.

The situation escalated rapidly, leaving the mother unable to react in time.

The attacker then threw the chemical substance onto her face a n d body, causing severe burns that have permanently disfigured her. Investigation Al Alawi confirmed that law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation into the incident and that he has filed a complaint.

Reports indicate that authorities have apprehended the suspect, a young man in his twenties, and have issued a warrant for the arrest of a female accomplice linked to the case.

Meanwhile, the victim remains hospitalised, undergoing treatment and necessary surgeries to address her injuries.
