The High Appeals Court has scheduled a ruling for October 28 in the case of an Asian man who claimed to be a girl and managed to obtain an indecent photo of an 11-yearold child.

In the initial trial, the court sentenced the defendant to three years in prison, confiscated the seized items, and ordered his permanent deportation from Bahrain following the completion of his sentence.

He was convicted of sexual harassment, child exploitation, and possession of child pornography.

The details of the case reveal that the defendant contacted the 11-year-old girl through Instagram using a fake identity, claiming to be a 14-year-old girl.

This deception led the child to form a relationship with him, believing she was communicating with another girl. The defendant subsequently sent her indecent videos, falsely claiming to be the girl featured in the footage, and requested a similar video from her.

Trusting that she was speaking to a girl, the victim complied. He then attempted to blackmail her into sexual acts, and when she refused, he threatened to share her compromising video with a friend, also an 11-year-old girl. Feeling threatened, the victim reported the incident to her mother, who then filed a complaint with the Child Protection Unit.

On the day of the incident, a sting operation was conducted, leading to the defendant’s arrest in Adliya, under the supervision of security authorities. He admitted to the crime during questioning.
