Motorcycle riders from across the Kingdom are coming together for a special memorial ride on Friday morning to pay homage to Ronald De Guzman Fernandes, leader of the Pinoy Riders Group Bahrain (PRGB), who passed away in a tragic accident last Friday.
The PRGB team had met up at Tubli petrol station last Friday, with the ride scheduled at 5am. Roy Ribeira of the Falcon Riders group said most of the group rides in Bahrain are scheduled on early mornings on Fridays to take advantage of the lesser vehicular traffic.
However, the PRGB team’s ride last Friday turned deadly when they came across the oil-laden road strip on Mina Salman that caused several of them to crash, with Ronald losing his life in the accident.
Bahrain, which has around 2,000 riders, has several motorcycling clubs and they have all decided to come together, under the initiative of PRGB, to ride the very same route that Ronald and his team took last Friday so as to pay homage to the rider who was popular among the community of motorcycle riders in the Kingdom.
The riders will meet up at Tubli service station at 4.30am and is planning to ride through Adhari Road, Hamad Town, and Formula fuel station, with the ride scheduled to finish by 5.15am.
