German Weeks in Bahrain: A Celebration of Culture and Community
Bahrain is set to host the exciting "German Weeks in Bahrain," a series of events celebrating German culture, music, and food. The festivities, running from the end of September through November 2024, will showcase the rich traditions of Germany and strengthen the cultural ties between Bahrain and Germany. The series will also include the celebration of the Day of German Unity on October 3.
The celebrations will begin with the renowned Oktoberfest at the Radisson Blu Hotel on September 26. Guests will experience traditional German-Bavarian cuisine, beverages, music, and dancing. The launch was announced by German Ambassador to Bahrain, Clemens Hach, during a press conference yesterday.
As part of the Bahrain International Music Festival, the Matti Klein Soul Trio will perform on October 3, offering soulful music that promises to captivate audiences of all ages. On October 9, the musicians of the Big Band of the German Armed Forces will bring their lively swing and pop music to the Mohammed bin Fares Hall.
Their Bahrain performance, in partnership with the Sheikh Ibrahim Centre, is part of a tour that also includes stops in Riyadh and Jeddah. A special concert on October 10, in cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, will introduce school children to the wonders of musical instruments and German music.
The "German Weeks in Bahrain" promises to be a vibrant showcase of German culture, offering something for everyone to enjoy and further strengthening the bonds between Bahrain and Germany.
