Bahrain Chapter of ICAI to Host Pioneering Conference on Digital Transformation

The Bahrain Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (BCICAI) is gearing up to host a landmark event focused on digital transformation.

The conference, set to take place on Thursday, September 26th, at the Gulf Convention Centre, promises to highlight Bahrain’s advancements in digitalization, particularly within the financial sector.

BCICAI is organizing the event in collaboration with prestigious knowledge partners: the Bahrain Internal Auditors Association (BIAA) and the Bahrain Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE).

The conference will showcase Bahrain’s digital transformation journey, with a focus on its ripple effects across various industries.

H.E. Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Auditor-General of the National Audit Office, Kingdom of Bahrain, will inaugurate the event. Guest of honour H.E. Vinod K. Jacob, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Bahrain, will serve as the guest of honour.

A distinguished panel of industry experts will be featured, including Fawaz Ghazal, CEO of FLOOS Bahrain, and Mr. Mahmood Jassim Shaker, Regional Director – Government and Public Sector for the Gulf region and Saudi Arabia at Dell Technologies.

A special session will be conducted by CA Nishith Seth, Director of SSPL Middle East. Key topics to be discussed at the conference include Data Analytics, Open Banking and APIs, Cloud Banking, Sustainable Finance, and RegTech.

These discussions will delve into the transformative impact of digital strategies on financial institutions and the broader economic landscape in Bahrain, the region, and beyond.

Since its establishment in 1985, the Bahrain Chapter of ICAI has grown into one of the largest professional bodies in Bahrain, with over 450 members.

The chapter ’s members play significant roles in decision-making across various industries, audit firms, and consulting organizations throughout the Kingdom.
