Bahrain Calls for Global Unity and Reform at UN General Assembly

In a powerful address delivered on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, urged the international community to unite and reform the United Nations to address the pressing challenges facing the world today.
Speaking at the High-Level General Debate of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly, Prince Salman emphasized the need for a revitalized international architecture that prioritizes the well-being of all nations.
He highlighted the interconnected nature of global crises, including climate change, conflict, and disease, and called for a system-wide reform of multilateral organizations.
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister also expressed deep concern over the ongoing conflicts in Gaza and Ukraine, calling for immediate ceasefires, humanitarian aid, and diplomatic solutions. He emphasized the importance of diplomacy and dialogue in resolving disputes and preventing further escalation.
Bahrain's commitment to multilateralism and its efforts to promote peace and cooperation were also highlighted in the speech.
The Kingdom's recent agreement with the United States to forge a new model for security and prosperity was cited as an example of how nations can work together to achieve shared goals.
HRH Prince Salman concluded his address by calling on the international community to act with a collective will and determination to build a better future for all. He emphasized the importance of upholding human dignity and ensuring that the international order remains a force for good.
