Introducing first sand-sweeping vehicle in Manama

In a decisive effort to address cleanliness concerns in the capital, the Municipality Council has announced plans to introduce the city’s first sand-sweeping vehicle, a joint initiative with Gulf City Cleaning Company.
As part of this collaboration, the company intends to establish modern recycling centres aimed at promoting a culture of recycling and environmental responsibility.
Their proposal includes the creation of a recycling centre for every 5,000 residents, strategically located near social centres and schools to encourage community involvement.
The announcement was made during a meeting on yesterday, at the ‘Istidama’ headquarters in Seef.
Representatives from the company outlined their vision for improving cleaning services, with particular emphasis on the sand sweeping vehicle designed for areas with significant sand accumulation, all aimed at enhancing the overall cleanliness of the city
