Bahrain keen to boost strategic US partnership

His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, emphasised the depth of the strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the US, noting that this relationship is founded on a long history of strong bilateral ties between the two nations. HRH Prince Salman was speaking as he attended a reception hosted by the US President, Joe Biden, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 79) in New York. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister was leading Bahrain’s delegation on behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. He conveyed the greetings of HM King Hamad to President Biden.

His Royal Highness affirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to strengthening cooperation and collaboration to achieve common goals and aspirations. He highlighted HM the King’s far-reaching vision in supporting international efforts to promote peace, development and prosperity. HRH Prince Salman highlighted the significance of agreements and memoranda of understanding in strengthening the enduring friendship between Bahrain and the US.

He noted that the recently signed Comprehensive Security Integration and Prosperity Agreement (C-SIPA) has positively impacted both nations, fostering joint opportunities across a wide range of economic sectors. His Royal Highness emphasised the importance of building on the longstanding ties between Bahrain and the US. HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister acknowledged the prominent role of the US, alongside various allies, in maintaining and upholding regional and international security and stability, which benefits all nations.
