Bahrain Embassy closely monitors Bahrainis’ situation in Lebanon

The Bahraini Embassy in Damascus is closely monitoring the situation of Bahraini citizens residing in Lebanon, His Excellency Ambassador Waheed Mubarak Sayyar confirmed.
Ambassador Sayyar emphasised the embassy’s ongoing communication with the small number of Bahrainis currently in Lebanon.
He reiterated that the travel advisory issued in October 2023, urging Bahraini citizens to avoid traveling to Lebanon and to depart if already present, remains in effect.
“The Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to advise its citizens against travel to Lebanon and encourages those currently in the country to contact the embassy in Damascus for any necessary assistance,” the Ambassador stated.
Safe In contrast, Ambassador Sayyar stated that the situation in Syria is considered safe, and there are currently no travel advisories in place for Syria.
He noted that Damascus regularly receives Bahraini visitors, many of whom are participating in organised religious pilgrimages.
“The embassy actively monitors the well-being of all Bahraini visitors to Syria,” he said.
Assistance Ambassador Sayyar renewed the embassy’s call for Bahraini citizens in both Syria and Lebanon to contact the Bahraini Embassy in Damascus for any assistance they may require.
