The 33rd edition of the Bahrain International Music Festival witnessed a spectacular celebration of Italian jazz on an extraordinary musical night organised by the Italian Embassy in Bahrain, in collaboration with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities.
The event held at the prestigious Cultural Hall in Manama, which showcased the dynamic performances of two of Italy’s most renowned jazz musicians — Luca Velotti and Silvia Manco.
Luca Velotti, a masterful clarinetist and saxophonist, who is also a long-time member of the legendary Paolo Conte’s band, graced the stage with his vibrant, soulful melodies.
Velotti, known for his deep versatility across various genres, delivered a performance that highlighted his expertise in jazz, infused with Italian elegance. Accompanying him was the highly acclaimed Silvia Manco, a gifted pianist, singer, and composer whose talents have earned her a place among Italy’s jazz elite.
Manco’s smooth vocals and intricate piano compositions, coupled with her dynamic stage presence, captivated the audience, creating a memorable evening of rich, melodic harmony.
Global prestige Both artists have collaborated with musical legends such as Ennio Morricone and Enrico Rava, adding to their global prestige.
Their synergy at the Cultural Hall not only highlighted the enduring legacy of Italian jazz but also underscored the festival’s role in fostering international cultural exchange through music.
