Bahrain shines in Quality-of-Life Index

Bahrain has claimed the second spot among Arab countries and the 36th position globally in the Quality of Life Index released by the American magazine CEOWORLD.

This index assesses multiple factors, including affordability, political neutrality, stability and safety, economic stability, family support, labour market conditions, income equality, cultural influence, and the quality of public health and education systems.

According to the CEOWORLD report, which is renowned for its business insights, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are making significant strides in both the global and Arab Quality of Life Index for 2024.

This progress reflects their commitment to creating opportunities for prosperity for all residents. Leading the Arab region is the United Arab Emirates, ranking 18th globally, followed by Bahrain.

Saudi Arabia comes in third place in the Arab world and 43rd globally, while Qatar holds the fourth position among Arab countries and 44th worldwide.

Kuwait ranks fifth in the Arab region and 52nd globally, with Oman in sixth place in the Arab world and 62nd overall.

On the global stage, Switzerland tops the list, with Norway and Iceland securing second and third place, respectively. Hong Kong ranks fourth, surpassing Sweden, while Denmark and Germany are positioned sixth and seventh.

The top ten countries for quality of life also feature Ireland, Singapore, and Australia, ranking eighth, ninth, and tenth, respectively. These rankings are based on the opinions of over a quarter of a million individuals worldwide, evaluating 196 countries.

Many of these nations are recognized for their high quality of life, serving as models for others striving to improve living conditions for their citizens.
