New Horizon School Commemorates Gandhi Jayanti with Spirit and Reflection

New Horizon School marked the 155th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of India, with solemnity and spirit in special assemblies held at both its Zinj and Segayya campuses.

Organized by the Social Science Department, led by Mrs. Gladis Sheejo, the event was a heartfelt tribute to Gandhi's life and principles, emphasizing the school's dedication to instilling Gandhian values in its students.

In a symbolic gesture of unity, students dressed in white, embodying Gandhi's vision for a peaceful and just society.

The assemblies explored the relevance of Gandhian principles such as truth, non-violence, and communal harmony in today’s world.

Students enthusiastically participated in cultural performances, reflecting on the importance of these ideals and highlighting Gandhi's enduring legacy.

School Principal Mrs. Vandana Sateesh expressed her pride in the students' dedication to Gandhi’s teachings.

"These commemorations play a key role in shaping responsible future leaders," she remarked, stressing the importance of the event in cultivating values of compassion and integrity.

As part of the SWACHHATA HI SEWA 2024 initiative, students from Grades 2 to 8 also engaged in a cleanliness activity, further reflecting the school's commitment to promoting community responsibility and environmental care.
