The Nationality, Passports and Residence Affairs (NPRA) has unveiled a new home delivery service for newborn passports, aiming to ease the process for new parents.
This service, accessible through the e-Government portal and the NPRA-Bahrain app, allows families to bypass service centres and focus on welcoming their babies.
His Excellency Shaikh Hisham bin Abdul Rahman Al Khalifa, Undersecretary for NPRA at the Interior Ministry, announced the rollout of this delivery option in response to rising demand from citizens.
The initiative has been developed in partnership with the Information and eGovernment Authority and logistics provider Tam.
The Undersecretary explained that this service simplifies the process of obtaining passports for newborns. Parents can now receive their passports at home, with a verification code sent to ensure secure delivery.
Shaikh Hisham encouraged citizens to take advantage of this and other eServices, which aim to enhance the quality of government offerings.
